El Dr. Porter se dedica estudiar las transformaciones de dominios en el plano complejo, y sus extensiones a los cuaternios así como el desarrollo de métodos numéricos y la resolución de las ecuaciones diferenciales tanto de la física como de las matemáticas financieras.
